Two stainless steel pads
They sit flat on the muscle either side of your neck and warm up as they work — which is what makes the muscle willing to let go.
Electric muscle stimulation
A low-frequency pulse makes the muscle contract and release on its own — the squeeze-and-let-go a massage therapist works for, from the inside. Fifteen minutes at the end of the workday.

Built for a desk-day neck
Nothing here is decoration. Here is what each piece is actually for — and what it feels like.

They sit flat on the muscle either side of your neck and warm up as they work — which is what makes the muscle willing to let go.

Kneading, tapping, acupuncture, scraping and more. If one mode annoys you, switch — they genuinely feel different, not like variations of the same buzz.

They run on a cable and reach your shoulders, lower back, stomach or legs. Peel, place, and the pulse follows.

Lighter than a phone. Batteries included. Nothing to charge, nothing to plug in.

The neck unit, two adhesive pads on their cable, and a quick-start manual. Ready the day it arrives.
Why your neck is still tight at 4 p.m.
By four in the afternoon your neck has been holding your head forward for eight hours. The muscles along the sides of your neck and between your shoulder blades have been contracted the whole time — and they do not let go on their own.

What the Pulse does instead

Where the pads sit
Tap a point to see what each part does.

The two stainless steel pads rest on the muscle either side of your neck — never on the spine itself.
Mode and intensity sit at the back of the unit, where your fingers find them without looking.
The two adhesive pads run on a cable. Start them on the upper back, either side of the spine.
Peel them off and move them wherever the tension is. Never across the chest or over the heart.
How to use it
Setup takes under a minute. The step people skip is the first one — and it decides whether it feels like a massage or a sharp prick.

Use a damp cloth. The pulse needs slightly moist skin to travel — on dry skin you will feel a sharp prick instead of a massage.
Hook the U over the back of your neck so both metal pads sit flat on the muscle either side.
Pick a mode and raise the intensity one level at a time until it feels firm and satisfying. Fifteen minutes. Twice a day is plenty.
A faint tingle under the metal pads. Most people wonder whether it is even on. That is the point — start here.
The tingle turns into a steady tap. This is where most people stay for the first week.
The muscle contracts and lets go on its own. Strange for thirty seconds, then oddly satisfying. Level 16 is not a whisper.
Fifteen minutes becomes the end of your workday instead of something you have to remember.
It will not fix your posture or undo eight hours of sitting. It works next to standing up more often — not in place of it.

No. If you have a pacemaker, defibrillator or any implanted electronic device, do not use it. This one is absolute.
Do not use it if you have metal implants, plates or screws in your neck or spine; if you are pregnant; if you have epilepsy, a heart condition or a history of thrombosis; if the skin there is broken, irritated or numb; or if it is for a child.
Your skin is too dry. Wipe the back of your neck with a damp cloth — the pulse needs slightly moist skin to travel. On dry skin it pricks instead of massaging.
It should not. It starts as a tingle, becomes a tapping and, as you turn it up, a deep twitch. Start at level 1 and raise it one level at a time. If you feel dizzy or your heart rate changes, take it off.
Fifteen minutes per session. Twice a day is plenty.
